As a courier on the Skip Network, you’ll receive offers in the Courier App while you’re on shift. Here is a guide outlining how to offer matching works.
Not Receiving Offers
Offers are matched based on a number of factors, including time, distance from the restaurant, and acceptance rate.
To get matched with offers, make sure you’re within your delivery zone boundary. For the best chance to get matched with offers faster, maintain a high acceptance rate and move closer to your zone’s hotspot areas.
Accepting an Offer
Once you’re on shift, you’ll get matched with offers on your Courier App. The offer will appear on your screen and display the details of the restaurant and customer location, earning amount for the order, the estimated distance to be travelled to complete the delivery, and your current acceptance rate.
To accept the offer, swipe the ‘Accept’ bar before the one-minute timer runs out. If you don’t accept the offer within the one-minute, the offer will be matched to another courier.
To avoid missing out on earning opportunities, keep the app open on your phone while on shift. To prevent your screen from falling asleep while using the app, go to Profile > Options > App Settings > Accessibility > Toggle the Keep Screen Awake feature on.
Declining an Offer
As a courier, you reserve the right to accept or decline offers. To decline an offer, tap on the ‘Decline’ button located in the top left corner of the offer screen. Alternatively, you can also wait for the one-minute timer to run out.
Once declined, the offer will disappear from your screen. As part of Fast Track Offer Matching, declining an offer will impact your acceptance rate. To be eligible for any top-ups and get matched with offers more quickly, maintain a high acceptance rate.
Pausing Offers
You have the option to pause offers while you’re on shift. To pause offers, open the menu bar by tapping on the three vertical dots located on the top of your screen, and then tap on the ‘Pause Offers’ check box.
To resume deliveries, simply tap the banner on your dashboard, or return to your menu bar and uncheck the pause check box.
Please know that staying paused for longer than 30 minutes will automatically check you out from your shift. You can always check back in when you’re ready to get back on the road.
Multi-Collects
While on shift, you can also receive multi-collect offers. Multi-Collects provide you with extra opportunities by matching you with multiple orders around the same location or orders that can be completed at the same time. You’ll collect these orders from a single restaurant, and deliver them to two different customers - saving you time from collecting from a second restaurant.
Please check the order number before you leave the restaurant and head to the customer’s location.
Multi-Collect orders cannot be separated. If you do not want to deliver one of the orders, you must reject both offers or ask us to remove both orders.
Please chat with us in the app if you need support.
Removing an order will impact your acceptance rate. Declining a multi-collect with two orders will negatively impact your acceptance rate twice.
Ending your Shift
You can end your shift at any time. To end your shift In-App, simply open your menu bar by tapping the three vertical dots on the top right-hand corner of the screen, and tap ‘End Shift.’
If you accepted an order offer, but you need to end your shift immediately, please use the chat function in the Courier App to get the order unmatched.
